Super plunging is super crazy!!

Clark has done the Polar Bear Super Plunge for the last few years to raise funds for the Special Olympics. This year he got his friends Ed and Haloti from the Baltimore Ravens to join him on a plunging team. From noon Friday until noon Saturday they plunged into the Chesapeake Bay every hour on the hour.

Oreo "with less filling" as the guys said

After work Friday night I headed over to watch Clark plunge, picking up Rob on my way. Laura and the girls met us there and we got to the park just in time to observe the insanity of the 7 pm plunge. The water temperature was 37 degrees!! We were cold just standing and watching.

Freezing!!! Good thing they had this sign there in case you were so numb you didn't notice you were walking into ice water.

That takes some serious confidence to pose with your shirt off with those guys! Holy huge!

Man they were beasts! May I mention also that it is completely INSANE to get into cold water when it is any month other than July, when the sun is there to warm you up? Even for a REALLY good cause it would take some seriously wild horses to even get me to put a toe in. What a brave (a.k.a. nuts) guy.

That is just crazy! Who, in their right mind, decides to plunge in freezing cold water???
